Gas Swimming Pool Heating
Swimming pool heating using gas is normally reserved for very large commercial or domestic installations in colder climates. Such as public pools. It is normally used in combination with other heating methods, such as solar, heat pump or geothermal.
Gas heating provides a very fast warm up for the swimming pool, but is not cost efficient, in terms of running costs, nor is it environmentally friendly.
The gas heated swimming pool is only possible if mains gas is available.
Gas boilers are much cheaper to buy, when compared to heat pumps, but cost more to run and more to install.
Generally gas boilers are not recommended for heating pools, especially in temperate climates, there are more energy efficient alternatives.
